Decorative Art (XII-XXI)

The Decorative Arts are practiced by crafts traditionally defined by their ornamental and functional products and materials which they give form: ceramics, wood, glass, metal, textiles, stucco or stone or the gemstone.
This field includes all crafts of architecture and interior such as furnishing and furniture decoration.
They are often opposed to the “Fine Arts” (that is to say, painting, drawing, photography or sculpture) and applied arts (as in fashion or design).
